Bio
Vishnu Gatla is a Senior Professional Services Consultant at F5 Inc. and an independent researcher specializing in trustworthy agentic AI, cybersecurity operations, application and API security, cloud security, infrastructure resilience, and AI governance. He has more than a decade of industry experience designing, securing, migrating, and troubleshooting enterprise-scale application delivery and security environments.
His research focuses on developing practical safeguards for generative and agentic AI systems operating in security-critical environments. His GAISS contributions include work on trustworthy agentic AI playbooks, provenance-constrained SOC copilots, missing-evidence escalation, and control-aware generative review of security infrastructure changes.
Vishnu also serves as the Social Media Coordinator for IEEE Computer Society Regions 5 and 6 and contributes to the professional community through technical reviewing, industry award judging, research dissemination, and cybersecurity speaking engagements.
His proposed talk, “Trustworthy Agentic AI for Security Operations: From Autonomous Tool Use to Evidence-Bound Decisions,” will examine how agentic AI systems can be evaluated and governed through tool-use safety benchmarks, containment controls, provenance enforcement, missing-evidence escalation, human approval gates, and audit-ready decision records. The session will connect research findings with practical security operations and infrastructure-change use cases.
